The famous Venetian writer Giuseppe Berto made Capo Vaticano his home after travelling all over Italy and it was here that many of his works were inspired.

In ancient times, it was described as a sacred place where many fortune tellers and priests had travelled to the Cape to predict futures based on the flights of the birds.

You’ll be fascinated by the beauty of this stunning cape. Swim or snorkel in the acqua blue sea or just bask in the sun as you admire the unforgettable views.

Days schedule and pricing information

Morning and afternoon sailing excursions are available to Capo Vaticano from the port of Tropea.

We’ll meet at the port of Tropea and then from there, you’ll meet your skipper before you set sail to Capo Vaticano.

Arrive at the cape and enjoy your visit by either swimming, snorkeling or relaxing on the deck in front of the granite cliffs and grottos of this beautiful destination.

We have two vessels available depending on the size of your group.

We have a smaller boat which can transport couples and a group of up to 4 people.
Cost for this tour is 75 euro per person.
Minimum number of people required for this tour is 2.
Maximum number of people is 4.

The Sun Odysee is a 15 meter luxury yacht that can accommodate up to 8 people.
The cost of this tour is 80 euro per person.
Minimum number of people required for this tour is 4.
Maximum number of people required is 8.

Both excursions include your skipper and an antipasto of cheeses and salamis, including local wines from Calabria.

Meeting point is at the port of Tropea.

The port is within walking distance from Tropea’s city center.

If you would like to be transported to the port from Tropea’s center an extra fee of 10 euro is required.
