Spend a day learning about one of Calabria’s best-known wines, Trupia. Your day will include a personal, guided vineyard tour with our friend and winemaker, Francesco Rombola, followed by a 3-course dinner with wine pairings.
Our local guide will transport you from your hotel in Tropea to Francesco’s vineyard in Brattiro. Resident winemaker and vineyard owner Francesco will guide you through his lush vineyards as you take in views of the sparkling Tyrrhenian sea. You’ll learn the history of the ancient vineyards and how each grape plays a significant part of his wine production. Next, we’ll take you on a guided tour of Francesco’s cantina to learn about the unique process that gives each of his wines a robust flavor.
After the vineyard and winery tour, an authentic 3-course lunch, freshly prepared by Francesco’s wife, will be served in a remote fairytale setting overlooking vineyards and the Tyrrhenian sea. Each course will be served with a wine pairing.
